About Us

We - The Christadelphians - are a worldwide, Bible-based community. We believe the Bible is God's only written revelation to mankind, and as such we try to read from it every day to help us follow God's teachings in our lives. It teaches us to love God deeply and show his love to all our neighbors. 'Christadelphia' is a Greek word meaning  "Brothers in Christ".  Through baptism into Christ, members become part of a spiritual family.

Our faith and convictions revolve around the assurance that almighty God will intervene to radically change this desperate world and bring perfect peace, justice and healing. This will be accomplished through his son Jesus, who will return to reign as God's appointed King over the whole earth.

We believe that all people are sinners and all people die.  But God has offered a priceless FREE gift - that is complete Forgiveness of sins and resurrection from death to Eternal life.  This amazing gift is granted to all those who diligently seek him, and who believe and follow his son Jesus.  Jesus was a man who lived a perfect life, and then died at the hands of wicked, jealous  men.  But God has raised him back to life and he has been living with God for the past 2000 years.

We meet every Sunday morning for a service in remembrance of Jesus our saviour - we remember his life, death and resurrection to remind and encourage one another to follow Jesus' example.  Christadelphians do not emphasize on a "church" building but rather on the members/people who together form a spiritual 'Temple' of the living God. Members of the church have different roles to play and all are encouraged to keep this spiritual temple holy as we are united as a body with Christ as our leader/head. We do not have priests but rather members themselves perform various duties in the church such as prayer, readings, sermons and praise.

In addition to the Sunday service, many members would also meet one mid-week evening to study the Bible together. In Bangalore, we meet on Wednesdays in the homes of different members on a  rotation basis. These classes help members to discuss, question and reason on various topics of the Bible. Christadelphians try to keep closely to the beliefs of the believers in the first century A.D. (ie after Christ) We do not follow any other book other than the Bible.

Bangalore Christadelphian Activities

Memorial service

Sundays at 9:15 am. We meet every Sunday in memory of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

We use this is a time to reflect on what Jesus has achieved for us and to rededicate ourselves to his service. The service consists of singing praises, prayers, an exhortation and fellowship. We do not have priests/pastors in our community rather members themselves take turns to lead the service and pray.

We believe that the "church" is not a building but is a group of the people united in  Jesus Christ.  We are a family with Jesus as the Head of that family.

You are welcome to join us this Sunday.

Sunday School and Study Group

Sundays at 11 am. For children aged between 4 and 15 years.

Sunday school scholars meet every Sunday morning after the memorial meeting where they enjoy all sorts of Bible stories and activities in small groups with others of the same age.

Any child aged between 4 and 15 is welcome
